No Time Like the Present

How do you feel about your life? Honestly now? How do you feel right at this very moment?

Are you living your life to the fullest, with purpose or are you simply meandering along, without any sense of direction?

How do you feel when you wake up everyday? Are you excited and ready to take the new day on. Or do you drag yourself out of bed every morning, dreading what new horror the day would hold?

For most parts of my life, I have felt the later.

When I look at my life, there were so many times when I felt truly lost. Times when I felt like I had no purpose or no clue as to where my life was headed. And honestly that is a very scary place to be at.

You see, as soon as you lose your direction and purpose, you are basically saying to God, ‘I have lost sight of You and I no longer trust what Your plans for me are.’ And that is a kinda hopeless place to be in.

Today I want to remind you that God has placed you exactly where He wants you, where He needs you, and where He can make the best use of your capabilities. Right now, where you are, God has a role for you. There is no need to feel like you are without purpose.

I like what Mordecai says to Esther when he was trying to convince her to go and speak to the King to help the Jewish people.

‘And Mordecai told them to answer Esther: “Do not think in your heart that you will escape in the king’s palace any more than all the other Jews. For if you remain completely silent at this time, relief and deliverance will arise for the Jews from another place, but you and your father’s house will perish. Yet who knows whether you have come to the kingdom for such a time as this?”’

Esther 4:13-14

Today let me repeat Mordecai’s words to you? Like Esther, we all have a choice. We can choose to use this life to make a difference or we can choose not to. But the fact remains that either way, whether we choose to or not, God’s plan will still prevail. God will still do what He needs to do, it’s whether we want to be part of it or not.

Esther didn’t have to help Mordecai, but she was in the best position to do so. Likewise we have a free will, we don’t have to be part of God’s Kingdom or His work, but where He has placed us, puts us in the best position to get the job done.

You best believe that God does have plan and purpose for you, right where you are. Where you are today, is exactly where he wants you to be.

I’m not sure what you are going through or your situation right now. But I do know that God wants to make a difference through you, He wants to use you.

He wants to use your story, your brokenness, your compassion and generosity. God wants to use your voice, your heart, your smile and your kindness. He wants you, as you are, where you are and the way you are.
