Be Present

If anyone understood the importance of God’s Presence in his life, it was Moses. Moses, when faced with a choice to have God part of his journey or not, refused to move forward if God was not going with him.

Moses understood the difference the Presence of God made in their journey. He understood the power that came with God’s Presence, the peace that was among them when God was there and he knew that without God that there was nothing that he could do in his own ability.

Moses also knew that it was the Presence of God in their camp was the very thing that set them apart from the many people and enemies who surrounded them. It was God’s presence which set them apart and made them an extraordinary force to deal with.

In the same way, if you are faced with a choice of living with God or without Him I pray you choose to live with His Presence. Because life with God far outweighs the bleak, ordinary and powerless life you could have without Him.

‘Then Moses said to him, “If your Presence does not go with us, do not send us up from here. How will anyone know that you are pleased with me and with your people unless you go with us? What else will distinguish me and your people from all the other people on the face of the earth?” ‘
