Strong, brave, fearless… But I am? These words aptly describe a warrior, a person who is indestructible, bold and courageous. A person who can take on the fiercest army and come out unscathed. And I am sadly none of these things. Not strong, not brave and certainly not fearless.
Funny how social media works, I can put up a picture and some interesting words next to it, and you look at it and automatically associate those words to the person in that picture.
But what is strange about this, is God sees you like that. He does not see you as you see yourself. He sees you through His eyes. What He sees is exactly who you truly are and what you can become through Him.
Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.”Joshua 1:9 NIV
Joshua 1:9 says ‘Be strong and courageous’ but that’s just it. God doesn’t say you ARE strong and courageous, but He says BE… it’s something you become. Strength, bravery and fearlessness are there, it just has not been exposed as yet. You may not see it, but it’s in you, you just have to find it… Well, actually, I, just have to find it…
