This festive season has truly been one of a kind. And throughout the season I have tried my very best to keep my spirits up. I have ensured that I did not let the current atmosphere get to me.
Christmas is my favourite time of the year, and even though this Christmas feels different, is out of our normal and will not have the usual festivities. Remember that the message of Christmas is still the same. A message of love peace and hope.
There is something so captivating about a beautifully written lyric and melody. Especially when a writer can perfectly sum up your thoughts and emotions in a single line. This Christmas Carol carries those sentiments in which just one simple line summed up my feelings on this current season and gloomy climate we are in.
It's been almost a month since I last posted anything to my site. The true depth of the Love that Christ has for us, is one of the most difficult promises to understand. This kind of understanding can only be revealed to us through prayer.
Strong, brave, fearless… But I am? These words aptly describe a warrior, a person who is indestructible, bold and courageous. A person who can take on the fiercest army and come out unscathed. And I am sadly none of these things. Not strong, not brave and certainly not fearless.

For most of my life I have always had a great festive experience. I’ve never been one to associate this part of the year with hurt or pain of any kind. Thus far I have to admit I have been tremendously blessed. But of late I have been reading of and encountering experiences in my own life which have been deeply troubling, which for me, is foreign especially during the Christmas period. These scriptures have brought and a sense of peace and comfort during these turbulent times. Reminding me that Christmas is more than those picture-perfect moments, but that Jesus came into a broken world to save the hurt, lost and discouraged...
When I decided to start this blog, I had images in my mind of a stunning website with new engaging daily social media content, beautifully designed products readily available, a perfect monthly newsletter and blog post which everyone can relate to, at least once a week! Surely, that was not a lot to ask for?
